FAQ

1)     How do I advertise my car?

Auto Trader Uganda runs as a Business to Business platform for linking Ugandan car dealers / sellers with buyers. Vehicles available on Auto Trader Uganda are owned by car dealers and private sellers. You can visit our offices at 411 Sixth Rise Naalya Estate with your vehicle or pictures of your vehicle. You can also email pictures of your vehicle to us and pay by mobile money. 

2)     How do the Dealers / Sellers grade the vehicles?

Vehicles on Auto Trader Uganda are not graded because most of them are running daily on the road.  As such, their condition changes from time to time.

More than 95% of all vehicles are sold in an "as is" condition. We advise that you get a technical person to check the vehicle before you buy it.

3)     Who are Auto Trader Uganda Dealers?

Auto Trader Uganda used car dealers are companies in Uganda that sell their used or new cars through the website Auto Trader Uganda. While we do not give guarantee for sales through the website, the car dealers are legally existing companies here in Uganda. It is important that you get detailed information about the car you want to buy before you pay. It is the responsibility of the buyer and seller to take necessary precautions. However, we endeavor to ensure the quality of the website Auto Trader Uganda.

4)     Who do I pay to and how do I transfer the money?

You do not pay to Auto Trader Uganda. You pay to the used car dealer or private seller who owns the vehicle you intend to purchase. The method & terms of payment may differ from one dealer/seller to the other. Please consult the dealers/sellers you are buying from for their payment procedures and terms.

5)     I need pro-forma invoice / quotation for this car

Please contact the seller directly. Autotrader is just an advertising platform that links the buyer and seller.

6)     I want to know whether this car is still available.

Please click the contact tab to see the telephone contact of the owner or seller. Call and ask if the vehicle is still available.

7)     I want to know the condition of this car

To get more details regarding the condition of the car, please contact the seller and request for details or an oportunity to view the car. The seller's name or contact is available next to the photo of the car you want. Please click the contact tab.

8)     I visited the website but could not find any car of my desire

If you cannot locate your desired car, please submit your inquiry by clicking the “Get Notifications” menu link. Cars are always coming on the market. If you can't find what you're looking for at the moment, why not register your vehicle requirements with us. We'll then notify you when something matching your requirements becomes available.

 9)      I want to know more information about Online Auto Trader

Online Auto Trader Uganda is an internet based automobile information Service Company based in Kampala, Uganda. Please click on About Us link to get more details or you may contact us for any enquiries.

 10)    I am interested in this car but it’s marked "SOLD". Do you have similar stock?

If you want a car similar to a sold out cars, please send your inquiry for that unit. In the “Get Notifications” inquiry form, please indicate that you want a similar unit and any other requirements as requested. We'll then notify you when something matching your requirements becomes available.

11) I contacted the dealer of a car I wanted to buy but was given a different price from what is on your website. Why is this so?
Much as we try as much as possible to keep all the prices and availability of vehicles up to date, vehicle pricing is subject to change without notice. Actual price may vary; installed options may also vary by dealer. Check with the vehicle dealer or seller to confirm what is included in the final price such as applicable license fees, insurance, registration, tax, freight / delivery, etc as this may vary depending upon the final price and terms agreed upon between you and the Vehicle Dealer or Seller. Make sure you contact the Dealer or Seller for final pricing and availability.

12) How much does it cost to advertise a vehicle?

The price per vehicle is 30,000 Uganda shillings or 15 USD. Payment can be made in cash at our office or made by mobile money.

13) What happens if I sell my vehicle?

We do not charge commissionon vehicles sold. All you have to do is to inform us that the vehicle is gone s that we mark it as sold.
